Which Kroger Locations Offer Senior Discounts?

First of all, we should warn you that not all Kroger’s stores offer Senior Discount Days. The program was recently discontinued entirely in Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic, Houston, and Nashville divisions, as well as all South Carolina stores in its Atlanta division. A full list of its divisions is available here.

We’ve reached out to Kroger’s media relations office about the future of the program and will update our article as soon as we get new information. In the meantime, we also contacted stores in each division. Here are the cities we’ve confirmed offer Senior Discount Days:

  • Durham, NC
  • Lexington, KY
  • Little Rock, AR
  • Louisville, KY
  • Toledo, OH

We’ll continue adding cities as we receive new information. If you’re not sure the discount is offered in your area, call your local store and dial “0” to speak to a customer service representative. Use the Kroger store locator to find the phone number of your local store.

How Does It Work?

All participating Kroger stores offer seniors 5% off their entire purchase. To receive your discount, just follow these steps:

  • Make sure you have your Kroger Plus Card and proof of age. You can register online or in-store at the customer service desk if you don’t already have one.
  • Go to your preferred location on the appropriate day.
  • Shop as normal.
  • Present your Plus Card and proof of age to the cashier when you check out.
  • Hot tip: You can combine your senior discount with coupons!
