Short Answer: Some ampm locations take EBT, but most do not. For more information about using EBT about ampm, see below.
Does ampm Take EBT?
Most ampm convenience stores do not accept EBT; however, a few stores do, customer service representatives told us. We contacted ampm locations in Arizona, California, and Washington; one store in California told us it takes EBT.
Note that at ampm locations that do take EBT, you can only buy EBT-eligible items. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) requires that you only buy food with your EBT card, such as bread, cereal, snacks, dairy products, and cold beverages. See our research for the list of what you can and can’t buy with EBT.
If you need to purchase items that are not eligible for EBT, ampm also accepts cash and debit cards, and some locations accept credit cards (as previously reported).
