Chick-fil-A accepts American Express for restaurant, drive-thru, online, and mobile orders, a corporate customer service representative said.
We confirmed this information by calling Chick-fil-A restaurants in California, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas; 100% of the locations we called said that they take American Express.
Other Payment Methods at Chick-fil-A
In addition to American Express, Chick-fil-A restaurants accept the following payment methods:
- Debit cards

- Other major credit cards (Diners Club, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa)
After signing into the app, you can pay for your order in one of two ways:
- Add funds to your Chick-fil-A One account using your mobile wallet, PayPal, a credit card, or a gift card, then scan a QR code at checkout to pay and earn rewards points at the same time
- Make a one-time payment using your credit card or PayPal account
Chick-fil-A also accepts Samsung Pay (as previously reported), Android Pay, and Apple Pay at the register and in the drive-thru.
