Short Answer — Little Caesars takes EBT at select locations in California. Restaurants can only accept EBT with government approval in states with Restaurant Meals Programs.

Does Little Caesars Take EBT?

Most Little Caesars locations do not accept EBT, but there are select locations in California’s San Diego County that accept EBT under the state’s Restaurant Meals Program (RMP).

We confirmed this by contacting Little Caesars’ customer service department and checking the official RMP rosters in states/counties that offer this program.

RMP Eligibility

San Diego’s RMP aims to provide food choices for those who have difficulty preparing meals at home or cannot store and cook food.

This includes people who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and also meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Over 60 years old
  • Homeless
  • Receiving DDSD Medi-Cal benefits
  • Receiving Social Security disability benefits
  • Receiving Veteran’s Administration disability benefits
  • Receiving Railroad Retirement benefits

Note that in California, the SNAP program is known as CalFresh; if you receive CalFresh benefits and meet the criteria noted above, you can use your EBT card at approved restaurants. You do not need to apply for the RMP separately, and your benefit amount will not change.

If you do not qualify for the RMP, you can only use your EBT card at approved stores to buy unprepared food, not at restaurants; for more details, see my list of what you can and cannot buy with your EBT card.

Locations That Take EBT

As noted above, only select Little Caesars locations in San Diego County take EBT. You cannot use your EBT card to buy pizza at Little Caesars in other California counties or in other states.

If you live in San Diego county and qualify for the RMP, find out whether your nearest Little Caesars takes EBT using San Diego’s RMP restaurant finder.
