Short Answer

Taco Bell accepts EBT at some locations in Arizona and California, but not in other states.

Does Taco Bell Accept EBT?

Taco Bell accepts EBT at select locations in Arizona and California, which participate in state-run Restaurant Meals Programs (RMPs). We confirmed this information with food assistance agencies in both states.

RMPs allow elderly, disabled, or homeless recipients of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP — formerly known as food stamps) to use their EBT cards at a specific list of approved restaurants. You can find out whether your local Taco Bell accepts EBT by viewing your state’s list of approved restaurants:

Note that while you can usually use your EBT card in any state, RMP benefits are not interoperable. This means if you receive SNAP benefits in a state other than Arizona or California, you cannot use your EBT card at Taco Bell locations in these states. Likewise, if you live in Arizona or California and travel to a different state, you cannot use your EBT card at Taco Bell while traveling.
