The majority of Walmart stores do not have notary services. However, select stores do host small businesses or banks with notaries. For more details of the availability of Walmart notary services, see below.
Does Walmart Have a Notary Public?
Walmart doesn’t officially offer notary services companywide. However, in some cases, Walmart Supercenters or large Walmart stores may host small businesses or banks that offer notary services.
We contacted stores in Florida, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Wisconsin; none of those stores said that they offer notary services. However, we also contacted a Walmart in Louisiana that hosts a local small business with an in-house notary.
Many banks and credit unions have notary services. Some banks, such as Woodforest National Bank, have branch locations inside of Walmart stores. Keep in mind that notary services at these branches will vary by location.
To find out whether your nearest Walmart has notary services, you can contact a bank branch directly or contact your local Walmart store.
Because the availability of notary services varies so widely by store, there are no set notarization fees that you can expect to pay at every Walmart location that has a notary. However, our previous research details the maximum notary fees by state and average notary fees by document type.
