GoPro Military Discount Policy Explained + How to Save on a GoPro

GoPro doesn’t offer an official military discount for purchases made through its website, but it has partnered with military exchanges to offer exclusive pricing and tax-free purchases to service members, a GoPro customer service representative said.

You can find deals through the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and the Navy Exchange (NEX). The AAFES and the NEX offer deals to both active-duty military and retirees, including from the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. National Guardsmen, reservists, honorably discharged veterans, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration associates, Department of Defense civilian associates, and State Department associates stationed abroad are also eligible to shop exchanges. For the full list of authorized shoppers, see the official AAFES and NEX policies.

Other Ways to Save on a GoPro

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option, you may want to consider shopping refurbished GoPro items. Refurbished products sold on GoPro’s website are more affordable than brand-new cameras and are certified by the brand. They also come with a one-year warranty.

Alternately, GoPro’s TradeUp program gives you up to $100 off your purchase if you trade in your old GoPro or digital camera. The camera you trade doesn’t have to be in perfect condition (dings, scratches, and other damage are fine), but it should be in working order and have an original retail value of at least $99.99.
