There isn’t a JCPenney student discount for purchases made in-store or online, but you can save at the department store chain through price matching and the JCPenney Rewards program. For all of the details, see below.
JCPenney Student Discount Policy
JCPenney doesn’t offer a student discount in-store or online. To confirm this, we contacted customer service representatives at various JCPenney store locations and online.
Other Ways to Save at JCPenney
To save at JCPenney, you can price match and/or join the rewards program. We have all the details.
- JCPenney offers price matching with its lowest price guarantee. If you find a lower price on an item from a competitor, you can get a price adjustment once within 14 days of purchase. Bring the competitor’s ad and your receipt to your nearest JCPenney and a store associate will price match and give you an extra 5% discount. For online purchases, you can get a partial refund by contacting customer service at (800) 322-1189.
- You can earn points every time you shop at JCPenney by joining the JCPenney Rewards program. The program gives you one point per $1 spent when you use your JCPenney Credit Card or one point per $2 spent with any other payment method. For every 200 points you earn, you’ll get a $10 reward. JCPenney Credit Card account holders get extra benefits like a coupon passbook and extra savings days. You can apply for a JCPenney Credit Card online or in-stores.
JCPenney does not have a student discount, but the retail chain will price match and has a rewards program that gives you points for every dollar spent at JCPenney.
