Short Answer: Kroger grocery stores in and around Ohio sell Kings Island tickets at a rate that is cheaper than ticket prices at the gate but comparable to Kings Island’s online ticket price. Kings Island day passes at Kroger cost between $48 and $52. Junior and senior tickets are $40. Parking passes are also available at Kroger for between $15 and $17. Kroger Kings Island Tickets Policy Explained
Kroger sells tickets to Kings Island at select stores in Ohio and the surrounding states. We contacted several Kroger stores near Kings Island; all of the stores we called had single-day admission passes available.
Kroger typically charges prices comparable to Kings Island’s online rates, which are less expensive than if you wait to buy tickets at the gate. Most of the Kroger store associates we spoke with said regular tickets cost $52, junior/senior tickets are $40 (children 2 and under are free), and parking passes are available for $17. However, some Kroger stores closer to the park said regular Kings Island tickets are $47.99, junior/senior tickets are $39.99, and parking passes are $15.
Select Kroger stores also sell discounted two-day passes ($67) and weekday passes ($44.99 to $47.99). Weekday passes can be used to visit the park Monday through Thursday.
To purchase Kings Island tickets at Kroger, visit the customer service desk. Customer service desk hours vary by location, but you can typically visit between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. There is no set limit on the number of tickets you can buy, as long as the store has enough tickets available. Tickets can be paid for with cash, a debit or credit card, a Kroger gift card, or by check. Kings Island tickets are not eligible for a refund or exchange after purchase.
Single-day tickets sold at Kroger are valid at the park any day and include access to all Kings Island rides, attractions, and live shows — with the exception of the Sling Shot and Xtreme Flyer attractions (which cost extra). Can You Get Kings Island Gold Passes at Kroger?
Kroger does not sell Kings Island season passes, including King Island Gold Passes. You can, however, apply the purchase price of your one- or two-day ticket to a season pass at the gate, Kroger and Kings Island customer service representatives said. Keep in mind, you must upgrade to a season pass on the day of your visit. At the gate, you’ll have three season pass options to choose from:
- Regular Pass: $126; includes unlimited visits until Labor Day
- Gold Pass: $136; includes unlimited visits any day the park is open, plus free parking and exclusive discounts
- Platinum Pass: $220; includes season pass to Kings Island, unlimited access to other Cedar Fair parks like Cedar Point, and free parking
