How Much Does Party City Charge to Blow Up Balloons?
The cost to fill balloons with helium at Party City varies by store location. Each Party City sets its own prices in order to stay competitive with other stores in the area, several Party City store associates confirmed.
Party City can fill latex and Mylar balloons. You can buy balloons and have them filled at your nearest Party City, purchase balloons on Party City’s website and bring them to your nearest store to be filled, or bring in balloons you purchased elsewhere to be filled.
Some Party City locations offer a discount on helium for balloons purchased from Party City, while others charge the same rate to fill any balloon.
We contacted six separate Party City locations across the country to provide approximate price ranges for filling balloons with helium at Party City:
- Latex balloons purchased at Party City: from about $0.70 to $1.30 each
- Latex balloons purchased from another store: from about $1 to $1.30 each
- Mylar balloons purchase at Party City: from about $1.20 to $3 for standard 18-inch Mylar balloons; from about $7 to $16 for larger sizes (some locations will fill standard 18-inch Mylar balloons for free when purchased in-store)
- Mylar balloons purchased from another store: from about $2 to $16, depending on the size
