Your own bank is the most obvious (and possibly most convenient) place to cash a payroll check.
However, when going to your bank isn’t an option, there are plenty of other places that will cash your payroll checks.
Banks will usually cash checks for non-account holders if the check is drawn on the bank (i.e., whoever wrote it has their account at the bank).
Grocery stores commonly offer check cashing services for nominal fees. Additionally, there are check cashing and payday loan stores that cash almost all types of checks, but with higher fees.
