Plato’s Closet Return Policy Explained

Short Answer

Plato’s Closet accepts returns of most items within seven days of purchase, as long as the tags are attached and you have the original receipt. But, because Plato’s Closet stores are individually owned and operated, policies may slightly vary by store.

Plato’s Closet’s Return Policy

Each Plato’s Closet location is independently owned and operated, so you might see slight variations in store return policies.

However, in general, Plato’s Closet accepts returns and exchanges on most items within seven days of purchase, as long as the tags are still attached and you have the original receipt.

Note that shoes, accessories, clearance, and final sale items are nonreturnable.

Some stores only allow exchanges or store credit — like the Plato’s Closet in Bismarck, N.D. — while other stores (including Wausau, Wis.) will issue a refund to the original payment method with a receipt and store credit without a receipt.

Since store policies vary by location, it’s best to check with your local Plato’s Closet for specifics. And, if all else fails, you can try selling the items back to the store!

Hello, Eli! Generally, no, you cannot get back clothes that you have sold to or exchanged with the store. However, since Plato’s Closet is franchised, some store managers may be willing to work with you to resolve your issue. It’s best to contact your local store for its policy and to discuss your situation.
