If you aren’t satisfied with your REI shoe purchase, you can return the shoes for a refund or replacement within one year of purchase. For more information on the REI shoe return policy, see below.
REI Shoe Return Policy Explained
REI’s return policy allows for returns of most items, including shoes, within one year of purchase. Shoes can be worn — as long as the reason for the return is other than normal wear and tear. This means that you can return shoes that don’t hold up as expected, don’t fit properly, or are unsatisfactory for other reasons. We contacted REI’s corporate customer service department and store locations in North Carolina and Oregon to confirm this information.
To return shoes at REI, you’ll need to have the original sales receipt — unless you are an REI Co-op member, in which case a store associate can look up your purchase. Returning shoes in the original shoe box is preferred but not necessary, REI employees said. You will be issued a refund for your purchase, or an REI store associate can help you find a replacement pair that hopefully works better for you.
REI accepts shoe returns within one year of purchase. Shoes can even be worn, as long as you have the receipt or you are an REI co-op member.
