You can request a price adjustment on certain Sam’s Club purchases. Often, in stores, price adjustments will be made at the discretion of the store manager. For all the details of Sam’s Club’s price adjustment policy, see below.
Sam’s Club Price Adjustment Policy
Sam’s Club offers price adjustments on some purchases, but the store policy includes many restrictions. To find out more about its price adjustment policy, we contacted Sam’s Club Member Services and we were told the following:
- If you made an online purchase and the item you bought later appears in Sam’s Instant Savings Book, you have eight days from the date of purchase to request a price adjustment. To request a price adjustment, you’ll need to email Sam’s Club.
- If you purchased an item in-store and later see it for a cheaper price at the same store location, you can request a price adjustment (there is no set time limit); price adjustments will be made at the discretion of the store manager.
- If you made a purchase online and find the same item for less at a Sam’s Club store, Sam’s will not offer a price adjustment. This policy exists because store markdowns are meant to clear items out of the store, rather than to beat online prices.
- Sam’s Club doesn’t price match with competitors.
While its price adjustment policy is limited, Sam’s Club has a generous return policy. Instead of asking for a price adjustment, you may be able to return the item and repurchase it for less. (To learn about Sam’s Club’s jewelry return policy, see our article.)
Sam’s Club’s price adjustment policy includes many restrictions. If you purchased an item online that’s later featured in Sam’s Instant Savings Book, you can request a price adjustment online. If you find an item cheaper in-store, you may or may not be allowed a price adjustment.
