Target has a general return policy for most items, including air mattresses, that allows returns within 90 days of purchase for a full refund. A corporate customer service representative confirmed the policy as outlined on Target’s website.
If you purchased the air mattress with a Target REDcard, you have an additional 30 days to make a return (for a total of 120 days). And, all Target-owned brand items, including Embark air mattresses, can be returned up to one year after purchase with the original receipt.
Returns outside of these time limits will not be accepted. But, as long as your return is made within these time limits, you can make a return for any reason; the box can be opened and you can make a return with or without a receipt. However, if a store associate is unable to find a record of your transaction, your refund may be issued in the form of a merchandise return card.
