Why Is It So Expensive?
Why is Supreme so expensive? Because Supreme’s business model is to produce too little supply to meet the demand and to not reproduce items that sell out. Founder James Jebbia explains in Interview Magazine: “[I]f we can sell 600, I make 400.” Since each item has a limited run, the items appreciate in value and resell at higher prices. For example, a Supreme split track jacket that retails for $190 at Supreme sells for around $285 at Project Blitz.

You can typically find both new and pre-owned Supreme clothing and accessories at many resellers, but the prices vary widely depending on the item, the condition, and the platform.
One thing to keep in mind when shopping online resellers for cheap Supreme clothing is that not all items are discounted. Because Supreme items are made in limited runs that sell out quickly, older clothing and accessories from Supreme are usually considered vintage and hard to get — which means they’ll typically cost more than the original price. How Do Drops Work?
Supreme drops occur every Thursday. The new items are released online and in the brick-and-mortar stores at 11 AM local time. The company does not announce release dates but, instead, encourages customers to sign up for its newsletter to receive notification of new items. Supreme only allows customers to buy one style per product.
The streetwear site Racked says that customers might have to wait in line as long as 24 hours for high-profile drops, although there are many reports of people camping out three days in advance of a drop.
Style site FashionBeans explains that purchasing new items from online drops is difficult due to the rise in bots. Motivated Supreme purchasers write code for these bots, which are able to make online purchases faster than people can. Although Supreme tries to kick bots off its online store, many are still successful.
Despite Supreme’s lack of availability, it is still possible to get your hands on Supreme clothes when they drop. If you aren’t able to, you may be able to buy new items immediately from resellers, but the prices will probably be marked up. You will likely pay a lower resale price if you wait a few weeks after items drop.
