16 Buy Now, Pay Later Sites and Catalogs (Some With No Credit Check)

Many websites and catalogs (both online and physical) offer buy now, pay later payment options. Most commonly, stores will let you apply for a store credit card, but some offer other options like rent to own or leases. Many buy now, pay later payment plans target people with less-than-perfect credit, and sometimes there’s no credit check required at all. These can be good opportunities for people who have trouble getting approved for credit but need a credit card to build their credit score. They’re also useful if you need to make a large purchase quickly but can’t pay upfront. Below, we have a list of buy now, pay later websites and catalogs to consider.

How Buy Now, Pay Later Works

“Buy now, pay later” is essentially a long-term payment option. It allows customers to take home items that they want or need right away, but don’t have the money to pay for in full at that moment. Buy now, pay later stores will often allow you an interest-free period in which you can pay off the total cost of the item you purchased with no additional interest or fees. This period is usually six months to one year long, and consists of a set amount of monthly payments, but can vary.

After the interest-free period is over, the store will usually charge you an additional monthly fee, a high interest rate, or some percentage of the item price in addition to the total cost of the item. Needless to say, paying off the item during the interest-free payment period is the smart way to go; interest rates after the 0% APR (Annual Percentage Rate) period can be anywhere from 20 to 40%. That means you may end up paying nearly half of the item’s original cost, just in interest. The total cost of your “buy now, pay later” plan may be 150% or more of what you would have paid by buying the item outright at its original retail price.

To avoid overpaying on a buy now, pay later purchase, be sure to only buy items you can afford to pay off. It’s a good idea to have a plan in place to pay off the item before purchasing it so you can avoid missed payments, late fees, interest accrual, and other repayment issues.

  • Try Affirm no hard credit pull. You can get a loan for practically any store you want. Only downfall is they only report to one credit bureau for now. Download the app it’s easier.

  • Zebit Market offers no credit checks for approval as well. Although they do verify either your check stub or bank account.

Thanks for the tip, Shar! Zebit looks like another good option for those looking for buy now, pay later options. We’ve added it to the article per your suggestion.

      Hi Jerri,

Great question. Yes, you will likely have two reports show up on your credit report from buy now, pay later companies — (1) when they check your credit to determine your credit limit with the company, and (2) when they report you account information, credit limit, and payment history once you are approved.

      Hi Laette,

I definitely apologize for any confusion that the article has caused. I have corrected the article title to be more accurate and reflective of the content. While all of the options in the article do run a credit check, there are several companies that do not necessarily exclude customers based on an unfavorable credit history. Flexshopper and Emporium, for example, are both designed for those with less than perfect credit. Again, I apologize for the misleading title, and I hope you’re able to find a buy now pay later site or catalog that is right for you. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

    • HSN store you can google it . it doesn’t run a credit check and they offer a very decent monthly payments

      Hi Tela,

Flexshopper might be a good option for you — this company does run a credit check, but poor credit scores are often approved. Emporium is also designed for those with new or less than ideal credit histories. These will probably be the best two options for your situation. I hope this helps and best of luck!

  • All i need is a Christmas Catalogue No Credit Check And Too Buy Now And Pay Off As Quick Asossible In 2017

      First Quarter Finance logostaff

      Hi Ann,

Emporium or Flexshopper may be good options for you. Both of these companies will run a credit check, but the websites specify that unfavorable credit scores won’t automatically disqualify applicants. Another option is theLuxe Signature card, which is associated with an online-only catalog and can only be used for shopping at huttonchase.com. This card features guaranteed approval for qualified customers. Be sure to research these options fully before you apply, as each company will have a slightly different process for applications, approval, purchasing, and repayment. I hope this helps!

For the companies that offer a printed catalog, you can use the links provided under this bullet point to sign up for any catalogs that interest you.
