Safeway sells a wide range of third-party gift cards — with categories ranging from entertainment to food to travel — in its stores. It doesn’t sell third-party gift cards online.
To compile a list of the gift cards commonly available at Safeway, we contacted Safeway customer service and visited two Safeway store locations.
While gift card availability will vary by location and inventory, you can typically purchase third-party gift cards in amounts ranging from $10 to $500, with most gift cards available in denominations of $15 to $50.
There are no additional fees for gift card purchases, except prepaid Visa and Mastercard gift cards, which come with a small activation fee (up to about $6).
