Furniture stores sometimes offer haul-away services for old furniture when delivering new furniture, but there are often specific purchase requirements.
And, some furniture stores — including Bob’s Discount Furniture and Raymour & Flanigan — will only take away specific items like mattresses and box springs.
Below, we have the list of furniture stores that take away old furniture (including the rules for each store), plus those that don’t offer furniture removal.
What We Recommend
We were unable to find any furniture stores that will remove your old furniture without a new furniture purchase. Additionally, many stores that haul away furniture will only remove mattresses and/or box springs.
However, Sears and IKEA offer haul-away services for most furniture purchases and have locations around the U.S. Fees for haul-away services at both of these stores vary depending on your location.
If you’re in the market for a new mattress specifically and want to buy from a store that will take away your old one, we recommend Mattress Firm or Bob’s Discount Furniture. Both of these stores include haul-away services with their in-home delivery packages with no separate fees.
