Short Answer — Menards’ delivery costs range from under $5 to over $200 depending on the item type, item size, and shipping speed you choose. Menards offers delivery for both in-store and online purchases. The charge to deliver an item from a Menards store to your home is usually about $90.

Menards Delivery Charges for In-Store Purchases

Menards offers a “Deliver From Store” option if you purchase an item in-store and are unable to take it home yourself at the time of purchase.

For large, in-stock items, the Deliver From Store option costs around $90. (Deliver From Store is not available for out-of-stock or factory-delivered purchases.)

This fee applies for items of any size, from building materials like cabinets to appliances like stoves and refrigerators.

Menards may charge additional fees on a case-by-case basis, depending on whether your delivery includes multiple items or requires special equipment.

Store Delivery Policy

When you choose the Deliver From Store service, an associate will process your order at the store, and Menards employees will then deliver the item to your driveway or garage.

You may be able to arrange in-house delivery for an extra charge; you can negotiate this with a Menards team member at the time of purchase.

Delivery will take place during regular store hours, and you can choose a date and time preference at the time of purchase.

To use the Deliver From Store service, you must have a clear, accessible, and level space for the delivery driver to drop off your item(s). You will be responsible for any concrete damage, lawn damage, or truck damage due to your delivery instructions.

Small Item Delivery

For some smaller items, Menards can arrange same-day delivery through a third-party courier for a flat rate of $15.

Menards Online Delivery Options

For most online items, Menards offers a combination of shipping options, including USPS, FedEx, and UPS.

Menards commonly offers the following shipping methods (from least to most expensive):

  • USPS First-Class Mail (Up to 15 ounces): One to three days; starts around $4
  • USPS Priority Mail: One to three days; starts around $7
  • FedEx Home Delivery (Ground): One to seven business days, depending on the distance to destination; starts around $10
  • UPS 3rd Day Select: Starts around $10
  • UPS 2nd Day Air: Starts around $12
  • UPS Overnight Air: Starts around $21

Prices correlate with guaranteed delivery speed. Keep in mind, as well, that Menards’ shipping options are subject to change and vary according to item type, size, and weight.

Freight Services

Menards delivers large items via Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipping. It schedules LTL deliveries within a four-hour window between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

You will receive a call with the arrival estimate (typically within one hour of delivery), and the driver will do curbside delivery. You will be responsible for bringing the package into your home; delivery does not include unpacking, room placement, or assembly.

We test-ordered several large items from Menards and found the following shipping methods and costs:

  • Ship to Home – ABF Domestic LTL: Around $185 to $195
  • Ship to Home – FedEx Domestic LTL: About $225
  • Factory Direct to Home (freight service unaffiliated with Menards): About $140

Shipping Policy

Menards ships items Monday through Friday and will dispatch your order the same day as long as you order by noon CST, according to the company’s official shipping policy.

Menards will bill you for your purchase the same day that you make it. If your order requires an additional processing period, the number of business days for processing will appear during check-out.

In-Store Pickup

Menards will also allow you to purchase most items online and pick them up at the designated “Pick Up at Store area” as part of its We Pull – Pick Up at Store service.

This service carries a fee of around $1.50 per order; items that need to be delivered to the store by USPS, UPS, or FedEx will typically incur an additional fee of around $3 per order.

Alternately, you can use the You Pull – Pick Up at Store option to pay for your items ahead of time and then remove them from the shelves yourself for no extra charge.
