Schnucks Money Order Policy
Schnucks does not have Western Union, but participating stores do have a MoneyGram counter.
You can purchase a money order at Schnucks whenever the MoneyGram counter is open. Most Schnucks locations are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., but the MoneyGram counter hours can differ; in some stores, the MoneyGram counter may not open until 7 or 8 a.m. and may close as early as 9 p.m.
If you plan on going early or late, it’s best to call your local Schnucks store to make sure money orders will be available when you plan to go.
To confirm that your preferred Schnucks sells money orders, call the store or use the MoneyGram agent locator to search for nearby businesses with MoneyGram. Be sure to filter for money orders. If a Schnucks near you sells money orders, it will appear in the search results.
For money order purchases, Schnucks accepts cash or debit cards. You cannot buy a money order with a credit card.
There is a fee of around $4 or $5 to purchase a money order, depending on the location.
Money orders can be purchased for up to $1,000. If you need more than $1,000, you can buy multiple money orders to reach the amount you need — although note that you’ll need to pay a fee on each individual money order.
