Does Winn-Dixie Cash Checks?
Winn-Dixie only cashes electronically signed payroll checks at its stores across the southeastern U.S., and the checks cannot be more than $500. While this information is not on the company website, we spoke to customer service representatives from multiple store locations and we were told that each location will cash payroll checks for a fee of about $3.50 per check. All locations also told us that you need to provide a photo ID to cash a check. Winn-Dixie will not cash the following types of checks:
- Personal checks
- Cashier’s checks
- Traveler’s checks
- Insurance checks
- Hand-written or hand-signed checks
- Payroll checks for more than $500

You can purchase a Western Union money order at any Winn-Dixie location. Simply go to the Western Union counter in any Winn-Dixie store, provide payment and a valid ID, and fill out the necessary information on the money order.
