Easiest-to-Get Store Credit Cards

Many stores have very simple and relatively quick online applications for credit cards. While it will take some time to go through the application process, all of the companies on our “easy to get” list will provide instant approval while waiting for successful credit checks. Most of these companies also have relatively low thresholds for credit requirements, meaning that customers with less than stellar credit histories are still likely to be approved (unless noted otherwise). Hardest-to-Get Store Credit Cards

While the stores on the hardest-to-get list also offer online applications, these are credit cards that will not provide instant approval and instead wait for a credit report before approving customers. Oftentimes these cards require stronger credit history than the instant approval credit cards. If you don’t have a credit score that falls within the good to excellent range (roughly 680 or above), you may find it more difficult to obtain these credit cards. The process for applying is typically the same as the easy-to-get cards, but it will take a little longer before you can start buying with the card.

In Summary

Rewards earned from cards used at your most frequented stores can quickly add up with regular use. Additionally, having a line of credit can sometimes simply be useful. Still, opening a credit card is not a decision to be taken lightly, so make sure you do your research and weigh the benefits and drawbacks before you apply for a new card. It is important to evaluate factors such as annual fees, rates, and penalties against the card-specific perks to determine which store credit card is right for you.
