Does Albertsons Cash Checks?
Yes, Albertsons does cash checks, but the policies may vary from one location to the next. We spoke with several customer service representatives and most locations will cash electronically signed checks under $1,000. There is a fee, but it also varies per location. Be sure to call your local Albertsons and ask about their individual check-cashing services.
Does Albertsons Sell Money Orders?
You can purchase a money order at any Albertsons location by heading to the customer service counter, filling out the necessary fields (payee, purchaser information, etc.) and paying the fee. Albertsons sells money orders through Western Union for up to $1,000 each with no limit on how many you can purchase. The only method of payment accepted for a money order is cash. Debit and credit cards won’t be accepted, and it will cost you about $0.89 per money order. This information is not listed on the website but was verified by a corporate customer service representative.
Not all Albertsons sell money orders, so be sure to call your local store.
Along with money orders, Western Union also offers money transfer services. You can send money to others or even pay bills (including utilities, credit cards, auto loans, mortgage, rent, etc.) through Western Union money transfer services at any Albertsons location.[2]
Does Albertsons Cash Money Orders?
While Albertsons sells money orders in select stores, it does not cash money orders. There is no mention of this on its website; corporate customer service representatives verified that it no longer offers this service.

Albertsons and Safeway do no.cash personal checks your dumb
Hi Bob,
I’m sorry to hear that you haven’t had luck with cashing personal checks with Albertsons and Safeway. Unfortunately, not all Albertsons locations cash checks. However, most will cash electronically signed checks under $1,000. If you’re not sure if your local Albertsons cashes personal checks, I suggest you find them on the store locator and then call to ask about their individual check-cashing services.
Can I cash a Bill payment check from my employer? And on the check it sayis verified with authorization number
Hi Jvont,
Albertson’s check cashing policy vary by store, so you’ll have to call you local store or stop by to ask. You can use the store locator to find your local store’s contact info, if you’d like to call. If the check is for less than $1,000 there is a good chance you’ll be able to cash it.
