Walmart Car Seat Return Policy

Car seats can be returned within 30 days of purchase — even if the car seat has been opened and/or used, Walmart customer service said. If you received a car seat as a gift, you can return it with or without a receipt; it’s best to return an item without a receipt to a Walmart store location.

Walmart’s standard return policy allows for returns and exchanges within 90 days of purchase, with or without a receipt. The policy includes items purchased on, except for those from a third-party seller. Other exceptions include car seats, which must be returned within 30 days.

Note: Car seats are occasionally recalled for safety concerns. If you purchased your car seat at Walmart and it gets recalled, you can return it at any time — regardless of the purchase date or the date the recall was announced. You will not be required to provide the receipt or original packaging. Walmart will issue you a cash refund for the recalled product. You can find the list of current recalls on Walmart products on the company’s website.
