Walmart Shoe Return Policy
You can return shoes to Walmart within 90 days of purchase, according to Walmart’s standard return policy. Store associates from a number of Walmart store locations across the country added that you can still return shoes even if you’ve worn them or you don’t have the receipt. You do, however, need to have the original packaging so store associates can confirm that you purchased the shoes from Walmart.
If you have the original packaging and your receipt, simply bring the shoes to the customer service desk at your local Walmart within 90 days of purchase and a store associate will process your return. Your refund will be processed to your original form of payment.
You can return shoes without a receipt as long as you have the original packaging and you are willing to show a valid, government-issued photo ID. Your return will be subject to Walmart’s refund verification process (as we’ve previously reported). If your return is approved and the shoes cost less than $25, you can receive a cash refund. If the shoes cost more than $25, your refund will be issued in the form of a Walmart gift card.
If you don’t have your receipt and you also don’t have the original packaging, a Walmart store manager may or may not approve your return. If your return is approved, you’ll receive store credit for the current price of the shoes. Keep in mind, one store associate said that without a receipt and no original packaging, shoes that show clear signs of wear and tear will likely be ineligible for return.
Online Shoe Returns
If you bought the shoes on Walmart.com, you can either return them to a store location or log in to your Walmart.com account and click “Start a Return.” When prompted, print out the return shipping label and send the shoes back with the original packaging for a refund. (Note: This only applies to shoes shipped and sold by Walmart.com. Items shipped and sold by third-party sellers like Shoes.com fall under the third-party seller’s return policy and are not usually returnable at Walmart stores.)
