The Home Depot sells a variety of third-party gift cards in its stores, but it doesn’t sell them online.
We contacted The Home Depot stores in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, and New York to confirm which gift cards are typically in stock.
Keep in mind, gift card availability varies by location — and some stores sell gift cards for local retailers, in addition to gift cards for national chains.
Store associates informed us that gift card denominations will vary depending on what your local store has in stock at the time of your visit; most brands offer cards for $25 or $50, but across all brands, gift cards at The Home Depot generally range from $15 to $50.
There are no additional fees associated with gift card purchases, except for prepaid cards, which usually come with a fee of $2 to $8 per card (depending on the card amount).[1]
If you’re looking for a specific gift card, you may want to give your local The Home Depot a call to check its in-store availability. Be aware that you cannot use a The Home Depot gift card, eGift card, or store credit to purchase third-party gift cards.
