To confirm this information, we contacted Walmart stores in Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, and South Carolina. All of the store associates we spoke to said you’ll need to bring your receipt. However, if you lost your receipt but paid using a credit card, you can look up your store receipt at Walmart.com. Your return should also include the console’s original packaging, and all of the items that came in the box in order to process a return. You can still make a return if the box has been opened (as previously reported).
During our research, we found that a few Walmarts would only extend a 14-day return period for PS4 and Xbox One purchases. However, if your local Walmart says you only have two weeks to make a return or exchange and you’re one day late, you might want to cite the corporate policy online when making your return.
